Raymond’s Early Life
Raymond was arrested in the popular Central Park joggers rape case at the age of 14 along with four friends, Antron McCray, Yusef Salaam, Kevin Richardson, and Korey Wise. He was found guilty of the assault and rape of Trisha Ellen Meili, a New York City jogger who was violently assaulted and raped.
Raymond Santana’s Prison Sentence
Raymond and his four associates were sentenced to jail terms ranging from 5 to 15 years during the second trial in New York Court. Everyone were convicted and imprisoned before a serial rapist named Matias Reyes admitted to raping and murdering jogger Trisha in Central Park.
Raymond and his four mates’ sentences were reversed on December 19, 2002. The decision was taken based on the Manhattan District Attorney’s recommendation. Raymond spent 5 years of his adolescence in jail as a result of the police’s incorrect investigation.
Raymond Santana’s Sues New York City & Settlement
In 2014, Bill De Blasio decided to settle with five men and awarded them $41 million. Following that, Raymond and four of his associates sued New York State for an extra $52 million. They did, however, obtain a settlement of $3.9 million in 2016.

Raymond, now in his forties, lives in Duluth, Georgia, a city near Atlanta, with his wife and daughters. He proposed to Deelishis, a former reality star, last year, and this year, in June, they married in a beautiful ceremony in front of a few close friends and family members. Raymond also collaborates closely with the Innocence Project and visits New York on occasion to fulfill his duties as a member of the New York City Justice League. Aside from that, he runs his own apparel business, Park Madison NYC, which is named after the neighborhood where he grew up.
