Pokimane is one of the most well-known figures in the world of streaming. She has a sizable fan base, with over 6 million subscribers on her main YouTube channel and 6 million Twitch followers. Moreover, she plays a wide range of video games, including Valorant and is extremely talented in gaming. She often focuses her streams on competitive Valorant gaming or even in casual games such as Among Us.

Early Career of Pokimane
Imane “Pokimane” Anys is unquestionably one of the most popular Twitch streamers in the world. Pokimane began streaming in college and realized almost instantly that she might transform her hobby into a career, amassing millions of followers. Pokimane is no stranger to controversy either. Pokimane’s shady side has been exposed on many occasions. Even so, no one could have predicted how fragmented her fanbase would become when she streamed without makeup.

Some may argue that the many scandals she has been involved in have aided her career. The debate over’simps’ is the clearest example of this. Although she is often chastised for having a simp fanbase, she has defended them on several occasions.
Pokimane said on a recent Misfits podcast that calling people simps is obnoxious and discourages men from even being polite to women on the internet. She also acknowledged that she is biased against them and that the’simp’ culture has aided her career.
Furthermore, despite their devotion, her’simp’ fans have always been a source of criticism. Pokimane and her followers were criticized for mass-reporting Leafy’s material when she was suspended.
Pokimane fans first saw him without makeup during a stream on October 23, 2018. The original clip of this stream has since been removed, but according to Newsweek, Pokimane decided to show her viewers her everyday routine. She spent about two hours putting on her makeup in front of the camera, answering questions and describing her method in detail.
Pokimane reportedly told her viewers at the time that she was anxious about the stream. According to Newsweek, the streamer said, “I actually feel really naked. I’m sorry if I seem different because I’m not wearing makeup.”
Thanks to Twitter user Nekodoll, a photo of Pokimane without makeup went viral. These images have been removed from Twitter, but they can still be found on some deep/dark forums. Twitter picked up on this, and Nekodoll apologised and explained the situation, saying

Pokimane continues to defend the standards that is imposed on women in entertainment / internet. In her tweet she is against the shaming of others without makeup.
